After being confiscated from poachers by ICCN, Fwa arrived at JACK Primate Sanctuary in extremely rough shape. He was dehydrated, exhausted, and had congestion in his lungs. At the time, it was believed he had very little chance of survival. Things began to look up for Fwa about a month into his recovery when he finally took his first steps at the sanctuary.
Today, Fwa is flourishing! To look at him now, you would have never guessed all that he endured. He is healthy with such a calm spirit. His sweet little soul still remains a bit cautious and on the submissive side. He continues to grow stronger and gain confidence each and every day.
