Before coming to the sanctuary, Luna was destined for the United States after a family purchased her as a pet. Thankfully, she her travel plans were intercepted and she confiscated. Upon arrival at the sanctuary, Luna was incredibly sick. She was feverish, refusing food, and unable to walk. Her mental health was in a similar fragile state.
Today, Luna is clever, playful, stubborn, and full of mischief. She has a great maternal instinct and is a surrogate mother for one of the main groups at the sanctuary.
